UPDATE: Back from Unexpected Sick Leave

Hey all--

As you may have noticed, I've been behind on posting the updates I promised a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I experienced an unexpected medical event that required surgery, and I've been recuperating since. I'm starting back in on my duties this week, and wanted to let you know that while I am behind on finishing the Rivenstone version of the Phial of Progress (I have a few more components that I need to sort before its ready to go live), I am catching up ASAP!

I will have a live streaming schedule sorted for posting early next week, and this Friday, I will introduce the second ever NAME THE MACHINE contest so our Rivenstone community can put their stamp on our shop by naming our other SioCast machine! The Nameless One needs a real moniker to rival the B.A.R.D., y'all. Start thinking of your cleverest name now to submit and you might win a prize for it. 😉

I appreciate your understanding after a rough few weeks, and I'm excited to see what names y'all submit soon!

DESIGN-A-THON: The Twisted Orrery is Complete + Other News

Happy Friday, y'all!

The team and I are very happy to present the FINAL SELECTIONS from the Wild Terrain Pack Community Design-A-Thon! The selections you chose are going to look amazing in sculpt, and we can't wait to get started on building these out.  Check them out below:

Thanks again to all of you who joined in on the fun and helped guide the design process. If you missed out, don't worry, I expect we'll do more of these events in the future. We had a blast setting it up and watching you work! I personally love the selections made, and I'll definitely be grabbing a set for myself to paint up when they're done.

PRODUCTION UPDATES

We're still plugging through SioCast production and the moldmaking process here at HQ, slowly but surely! The production team recently managed to successfully get through the mini with the greatest engineering/molding challenge of all the Wave 1: Tor, hero of the Orrix.

Between his XL kitty mount and Carnateryx companion, Tor was an absolute beast to breakdown and mold for maximum quality and a friendly build experience. He required 19 molds to complete! Look at the pile ready to hit the SioCast line next week:

In order to make those molds, our production team had to bust out a few dozen print masters for the mold team to use as well:

The production team deserves some serious props for all their hard work getting through such a monstrously difficult model!

PRODUCTION PROGRESS BAR COMING SOON

As we're making daily headway on production, we'll be adding a visual progress bar to the production updates coming soon! If you backed our Dungeon Delvers campaign, we did something similar to help quantify how much progress was being made on a periodic basis: The Phial of Progress. I've come up with a fancier, more data-centric version of the Phial to help illustrate what we're working on, and how far we are at any stage. 

I expect we'll have something up in early-mid February, as I'll have to consult with the production team to a fully updated production audit before I can build an accurate tracker.

TIEBREAKER: The Community Design-A-Thon isn't Quite Done!

Happy Monday, all! 

Thanks again for joining in on the voting fun last week. I was able to confirm the following winning selections:

• TERRAIN PC #1: Option A (57.7% of the vote)
• TERRAIN PC #2: Option B (42.8% of the vote)

When it came to Terrain PC #3 however, we somehow managed to end up with an exact tie, with Options A + B splitting the first place spot with 38.7% of the vote each.

After consulting the team, we decided it's time for a tiebreaker. We're doing a lightning round to determine the final design choice before we go to production. You'll have until WEDNESDAY JAN 18th, 2023 @ 5PM to cast your tiebreaking vote!

HAPPY NEW YEAR: Final Community Design-a-Thon Vote Begins + Other News

First things first, I hope you all are enjoying a good start to this new year and that you had a great holiday with your favorite people! I also want to thank you all for your patience as the team and I have been juggling an extraordinarily heavy workload over the last weeks. We've been working really hard behind the scenes to keep Rivenstone production on a speedy track in addition to making sure our new and upcoming projects get the solid foundations they need to succeed and keep the BAM ship sailing.

Now that I've been freed up, I am excited to tell you that I've been cooking up all kinds of new things for the Rivenstone community to enjoy together as we get closer to shipping. We'll (finally) be hosting regular livestreams soon, and we'll have a couple more community events go live before Rivenstone ships too! I'll have more details on what you can expect in the next few weeks posted for you here next week, as well as additional images from the production line. 

I am really excited to hang out with y'all again soon. Missed ya! :)
